Utilizing the resources listed below this is an Op-Ed discussing
how Norman Ok local government has failed to adequately address the Homelessness
crisis its city is facing. The homeless in Norman have been met with promises of
compassion and resources to help them transition but instead receive unjust treatment
and resistance from the local government. The issue of homelessness has been an
issue long before the Covid 19 pandemic but the effects of the pandemic have expanded
the problem and the local government has nothing to adequately address the issue
and assist these people who are still a part of the community.
